Northern Cattle Grazing is committed to protecting the grassland we operate our business on. The health of the soil and grass in the grazing areas is periodically monitored and our cattle are rotated based on the conditions we observe. Sustainable grazing practices promote a healthy environment not only for our cattle, but also for a variety of wildlife on the same land our cattle call home, and the greater ecosystem that we all share.
The presence of wildlife on our ranches is an indication of a healthier and more balanced ecosystem, reflecting diverse habitats and sustainable land management practices. A thriving wildlife population can enhance pest control, pollination, and soil health, benefiting the overall ranching operation. We also partner with local beekeepers and have beehives at our ranches. Bees are essential to the sustainability of agriculture; they pollinate about 85% of all crops for humans and many of the plants that cattle eat.
